Sellaro as a BaseLinker Alternative — Cheaper Sales Automation Online

baselinker-alternativeomsautomation

In our guide on choosing a BaseLinker alternative we described six criteria worth looking at. Here we go a step further and show specifically how Sellaro approaches those criteria — what we do differently, who it’s an alternative for, and who it isn’t (yet).

Let’s be honest: Sellaro is a platform in active development. Some things have worked for a long time, others are being added as modules. We want you to make your decision based on facts, not promises.

What Sellaro Is

Sellaro is an order and product management system (OMS) for e-commerce stores that ties your sales channels together in a single panel. It collects orders and products from stores and marketplaces, maintains shared inventory, automates repetitive tasks, and provides an API-first architecture you can plug additional components into.

We built it for sellers who have grown tired of paying a commission on every order and who want a predictable cost and data kept in good order — not thrown into one bucket with everyone else’s.

Difference 1: Pricing Model — A Plan Instead of Commissions

This is the most important difference. Instead of a base fee inflated by a commission on every order, Sellaro works on a plan with a limit plus a low overage model:

  • a fixed monthly fee with a generous order limit included,
  • above the limit — a single, low rate for each additional order (the overage),
  • 0% commission on sales value,
  • all integrations included in the plan.

The result: your cost is predictable and doesn’t grow linearly with turnover. The better you sell, the less you give up per order — the opposite of a per-order model. You’ll find the specific tiers and rate in the pricing, along with a cost calculator for your volume.

Difference 2: Integrations Included and “We’ll Add the Missing One for Free”

At Sellaro, integrations aren’t a separately paid module — they’re part of the plan. You connect stores as channels, and orders and products land in a shared, normalized view.

What works today and what’s coming:

  • Stores — modules for PrestaShop, Sylius and WooCommerce; more platforms planned.
  • Marketplaces and couriers — Allegro, Amazon, InPost and others are on the roadmap, and we add them as our customers need them.
  • The rule — we add a missing integration for free as part of the plan, usually within an agreed timeframe. We grow the catalog to meet real needs, not just in case.

This way you don’t pay for connectors you don’t use, and you can be sure that a channel you add in six months will be supported at no extra charge.

Difference 3: Per-Client Data Isolation

In many SaaS systems, all customers’ data sits in a single database, separated only by an identifier. Sellaro keeps each customer’s data in a separate database schema — that’s physical isolation, not just a filter in a query.

For you, this means a higher security standard without an “enterprise” surcharge: your orders, products and stock levels are separated from other sellers’ data at the level of the database structure.

Difference 4: Event-Based Automations

Sellaro has an automation engine that runs on domain events — such as “new order” or “status change.” You attach rules to them in an “if this, do that” scheme, with actions such as:

  • an email (SMTP) or SMS notification to the customer,
  • a webhook to an external system when you need your own logic,
  • an event log entry for auditing.

This flexible approach grows with your process — instead of a handful of rigid scenarios, you build automations around your own way of working.

Difference 5: API-First and a Secure Connection

Sellaro is API-first — the panel is one of the layers, and underneath sits a documented API to which you connect stores and your own tools with an access token. Store integrations currently run in read-only mode (Sellaro doesn’t write to your store), which is the safest scenario to start with: you connect the system in parallel, with no risk that something overwrites data in the store.

Who Sellaro Is an Alternative For — and Who It Isn’t

Honestly: Sellaro is a particularly good fit if:

  • you run small or medium-sized sales and the per-order commission is starting to chafe,
  • you want a predictable cost and integrations included,
  • you care about proper data isolation,
  • you use PrestaShop, Sylius or WooCommerce (ready-made modules).

Consider whether the timing is right if:

  • your key channel (e.g. a specific marketplace or courier) is still only on our roadmap — in that case, let’s talk about the timeframe before you migrate,
  • you need write-back to the store today in areas that are READ-ONLY on our side.

We’d rather say this plainly than promise a feature that doesn’t exist yet.

What the Switch Looks Like

We plan the migration so it doesn’t halt your sales: we connect Sellaro in parallel with your current setup, in read-only mode, transfer the data and switch channels over one by one. At every stage you can roll back. If an integration is missing, we agree on a timeframe for adding it before you become fully dependent on the new system.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does Sellaro differ from BaseLinker?

Above all, in its cost model: Sellaro works on a plan-with-a-limit-plus-low-overage model, with no commission on sales value and integrations included. On top of that, it keeps each customer’s data in a separate database schema (physical isolation) and offers flexible event-based automations.

How much does Sellaro cost?

You pay a fixed monthly fee with a generous order limit included, and above the limit a low rate for each additional order. All integrations are part of the plan, and we take no commission on sales value. You’ll find the specific tiers and a cost calculator in the pricing.

Does Sellaro have an Allegro integration?

The Allegro integration is on the roadmap and we add it on request — in line with our “we’ll add a missing integration for free” rule, as part of the plan. Modules for PrestaShop, Sylius and WooCommerce are ready today. If Allegro is your key channel, let’s talk about the timeframe before you migrate.

Can I test Sellaro before switching?

Yes — the safest scenario is to connect Sellaro in parallel with your current setup, in read-only mode. You then see your data in the new system with no risk that anything overwrites the store, and you switch channels only once everything works.

Summary

Sellaro as a BaseLinker alternative comes down above all to a different cost model (a plan and a low overage instead of a per-order commission), integrations included with the “we’ll add the missing one for free” promise, physical per-client data isolation, and flexible event-based automations. At the same time, we’re a platform in development, and we say plainly what works today and what’s still coming.
